The Formentor Peninsula, just 10 km from Alcúdia, is famous for its vertiginous cliffs, secluded coves, coastal pine forests and its spectacular lighthouse. It is one of the most picturesque and most visited landscapes in the whole of Mallorca. But it is also known for its birds, which attract thousands of birdwatchers from various countries every year.
