Penya des Migdia

Penya des Migdia

Iconic hike from Ermita de la Victòria to a 354 m summit overlooking Pollença and Formentor. Final stretch exposed.

The hike to Penya des Migdia, also known as Penya Rotja, is one of the most iconic routes starting from the Ermita de la Victòria. From the hermitage, the trail continues along a narrow ascending path that connects with a coastal route. After walking approximately 3 km, you reach the base of Penya des Migdia.

Although the trail is easy to follow, the final section involves some exposure and risk, making it unsuitable for children under 7 years old. From this point, a final ascent of about 15 minutes leads to the summit, located 354 metres above sea level.

The effort is well rewarded: the hike offers spectacular panoramic views of the north coast of Mallorca, including the Bay of Pollença and Cap de Formentor, and on days with clear visibility you can even glimpse the island of Menorca.
